Fluoro Line Confusion & Q's
« on: Dec 07, 2017, 08:39 AM »
Totally confused over the different types & brands of Fluorocarbon Line.  Even P-Line has different types... Std & Premium.
Can anyone help clarify such?

There's going to be a lot difference now just like the expanse of monolines.  You will have your soft to your stiff lines.  Each mfg will offer a variety of line properties and premium is usually more $$$.  That's it in a nutshell.

Then you will need to asked those that have fished the line or fish the line yourself to figure if it is what you're looking for.

You want to read about lines here and it gets into specifics.

It is an awesome site for tackle junkies.  Getting honest third party data and applying it to your budget and fishing preference.

On top of that there are many forum members who are tech junkies in their own rights too on that forum.  Really good informed opinions.

As others have said if you inform us on how you plan to use it we can point you in the correct direction. One thing I would add is from my experience with floro you get what you pay for. I recently bought some suffix floro leader because it was cheap and what do you know it was cheap, not near as clear or as easy to work with as other more expensive leader that I have used from Seaguar.

There is also pure fluoro and coated fluoro. Pure fluoro no matter the brand is expensive, about 2-3x more than regular mono. Because of this I only use it for leaders.
