I had to build a new smitty sled, I built it to fit my Clam Kenai with the redesigned tub. I wanted the tub to fit sort of snug on the sled so I made it so the tub runners fit in between a couple of 1x1"s . the total width of the sled from each riser is only 24inches. I used 2x6 for the risers and notched them out for the 2x4 cross bars. Looking at it now, it looks pretty narrow, I'm hoping its not too tippy, any thoughts?
