Once the ice is 8"s it is on.......LOL!!  This will be my 4th ice hut I have now!  2 flip overs, this hardside and my semi portable which has a woodstove, each has a time and place...  This one will see the ice for sure but its main use will be for sleeping in and cooking dinner along the way, road trippin lake to lake!!!!!!!  Here is a pic of my semi portable, 32 sq ft of heaven on ice.....

Today, I got the foam in the ceiling, leaving a 1/2" air space between the reflectix and the foam.  Should give me somewhere around r-25 in the ceiling!!!!! The walls are r-15!!! Metal on the outside then house wrap, reflectix, air space, foamboard then paneling on the inside.  All those layers should make for one toasty hut!  One step closer to finishing it up.

I got the kitchen/ multi use countertop area paneling in and trim going up!!!  I picked up this sweet stainless two burner stove top today at a flea market store for$20 brand new!!!!  Priced it at $85 on amazon! I plan to use helmsman spar varnish on the wall and trim to hopefully keep it looking nice for a few years...

She is on the trailer!!!! Probably weighs in at about 400lbs! I have some finishing touches, some flashing and exterior trim to do but it looks pretty good.  I pulled it up to 55mph so far and I don't even feel it back there, it hauls amazing!!!!!!!

Turned out very nice! Good looking truck too. You guys will have a blast for sure. Are you going to set it on the ice or leave it on the trailer?

Most of the time we will leave it on the trailer and use it to cook, get warm and to sleep in.  Plus when the kids get cold, they now can just go back to the trailer and watch a movie and get warm!  No more "when are we leaving" just to go home and play playstation...LOL  I have a few flip over huts that we fish out of....RUN AND GUN...  I also have a semi portable 4'x8' with a woodstove I leave on the ice on my home lake.  My trailer will be mainly to save us the cost of hotel rooms and fast food along our journey lake to lake.  It really puts a lot more lakes into our reach!!!

Thanks cwavs1982, I build homes for a living so a small house is a snap, lol.  Here is a pic of a home I just designed and built for a customer.

that shack needs to be in the truck, and another shack and some sleds on a trailer behind. I've had thoughts of doing that with my truck, some places I want to fish are an hour and a half from home, and I don't like paying 150 bucks a night for a hotel and not drive back home. Shack looks good, I like the originality with the marsh grass.

I haven't drawn anything but a blueprint in years, but here is a 50" pike I drew to woodburn on my hut wall last night...  I may draw a few more fish on that wall to look like mounts!  I am having fun with this thing for sure!!!

Love the art on the wall.  Can't wait to see the outcome on that.  Wish I had a steady hand to do the wood burning.  That, and I am an engineer, so not much of the "creative side"  here.  Its all straight lines and right angles for me!

I have not had much time to work on the trailer last few days, been really busy...  I have been working on a few other projects too.  I did manage to get some another coat of varnish, got some coat racks up too, and my girlfriend Melissa is making good progress on the woodburning!  Our 7 year anniversary was yesterday and she got my some cool signs to screw to the back of it!!!!  I got her a set of neoprene chest waders for steelhead fishing, funny!
