Sounds familiar. Pulled out 200 in two 8 hour soaks in my usual spot this past summer. Pulled out 40 or so in several soaks last winter. Not a single one from two traps yet this go around. Guess I gotta start looking for a new spot I spose

this has happened 3 years in a row. come next fall, they're back. I leave them alone all spring and summer. This year, I did better with the rod vs the trap.

Time to bring this thread back. This is it's 8th season. I'll be buying my bait but I enjoy reading about other people's bait trapping adventures and bait storage systems.

I’ve been thinking about fishing for some chubs and large golden shiners for togue and maybe pike this year. Just not sure if I really want to set up a tank.

27 dz so far. gonna go back and try to get more small ones. I got too many big ones. only about 2 dz in the trap.

i'm done. 34 dz. left he trap home the last 2 outings. caught 32 dz out of 34 one at a time with rod.
