Sweet deal. Did you get bait at Byam's? How was it?

got the bait at JR,s as it is open 24hrs.  Thought that was pretty cool that they sell bait 24/7 out of their home.  Go to their house and the dogs wake them up for you.  I got there at 5:30ish and the lady (Lorainne?) was very pleasant and helpful.  The bait was good.  I accessed the lake straight down the road from their house.  trucks have been driving on there and she told me it was plowed but it had snowed a little and drifted up about the first 100yards or so.  I had a little difficulty there with my small nissan and couldn't see much so didn't want to risk it and walked out.

Any idea how many FOW you were fishing in and how deep you were running the bait?

12-15 FOW about a foot of the bottom.  I guess it's not so much the FOW as it is location.  Channels made from incoming brooks or rivers.  I'm new to walleye so i'm limited on knowledge but i picked up a lot from this site.  best first thing early and right at sundown and in the dark more so than other fish
