Perch right after ice out
« on: Mar 10, 2012, 07:23 AM »
The lakes I fish for Perch just iced out in the past three days.  I am looking for suggestions on where to start to look for and what to use to catch them.  The lakes I fish are 13 FOW at most and aren't bigger than 300 acres.  Also some have no boat access.  Thanks.

With a lake that small... you ought to be able to find some active perch as long as you are willing to keep moving until you find em.

I'd fish in 8-13 fow.

1/16th ounce jig/orange, with a small slit bobber set at about 3'-4' and work what ever bay's/east facing edges you can with a worm or small minnow, just move until you find them.... it works for me on big water...
