Otter vortex
« on: Oct 09, 2021, 11:03 AM »
Looking to get a new pop up this year and the vortex looks real nice. I do like the new Eskimo with the new type doors but I have read that Otter is the very best quality. Anyone here have otters and any reviews on them???
A bad day of ice fishing is better than any day at work!

The new Otter Vortex Pro Lodge has the same type of full doors that the Eskimo house you were referring to has. I have the older Vortex lodge from 2 years ago and that is a step up from the Eskimo Fatfish 949i that I had. I like the windows on the Otter hub more because they extend down a little farther than the Fatfish windows. Also the hose port is a nice feature, the lack of pinholes is a huge plus, and  I didn't notice any type of condensation inside the Otter compared to the Eskimo Fatfish. The only thing I disliked about the Otter was the cargo nets in the ceiling as nothing would stay put up there the way they made them that year.
