Caught one about 30" on a 6" perch I was reeling in.  I figured it was a pike cuz I've had them do that alot, but when it got to the boat I was absolutely shocked

Always wear clean underwear, cuz ya never know when the paramedics are gonna have to cut your pants off.

This year on opener, we went out to a local lake and all of my Eye spots were covered with boats (except my #1 spot, but i didn't want 60 boats to see me pulling fish off of it) so the wife and i decided to go for pike.  We were in 3 feet of water, in cabbage weeds, casting spoons and I pulled a 19" eye off of the end of a dock.

They fight weird when ya hook em in the tail!!!  ;D:laugh:

...But to be honest, its probably not the wierdest place, but more the situation. Last year we were on the ice in about 3' of water and the walleye had the feed bag on. What made it weird was the number of people fishing, driving machines around, running augers etc...Im talking several hundred anglers fishing a very small area. It was combat fishing at its finest....not really my forte. Never the less, the fish didnt seem to mind and it was a great day of fishing. Normally on this lake activety like that would kill the bite, but not on this day. Thats what made it weird to me.

In 8 FOW no where near a break or transition area at about 2 in the afternoon.  24" eye that didn't put up any fight.  Thought it was a bunch of weeds at first.

1.  In 2 fow in broad daylight on a hot summer day throwing spinnerbaits for bass

I did the same thing throwing a spinner bait at a downed tree. It was a 16" Sauger and I didn't even know they were there. I went back the next day and caught a few more. Also spotted some on my underwater camera.
