What's the smallest made ice auger? I just want one small enough to fit my underwater camera through. Don't want to add the weight of another full size auger. Maybe a 20 inch long bit for an old manual have drill.
Strikemaster 4½" in the For Sale section.
I had a 4" lazer for a week until a 9-10" gill wouldn't come though. Upgraded to a 5" Lazer and had that for 2 years until i wedged a 15" crappie back and forth to get it out. Im still waiting for a fish that cant fit through my 6". I loved the small auger for the miss backwaters, its a riot to catch perch and panfish with and doesnt throw a huge light beam spooking the fish. But i also like to land big ones. I can see why you want it for your camera though!
There was a guy at the St. Paul ice show with 3" ice drills for sale. It was a yellow flighted deal. The clam people near the games were looking at them for scouting purposes. The guy selling them name was Bob. I asked to look at the blades and his name was printed on them. It might have been Bob Ward?
I love my 4" mora but wouldn't mind seeing this 3" people have mentioned,
Iceberg Siberia Mini Hand Ice Auger 5" - # N-AI-130RM (Image removed from quote.)
Finally got some ice to try the Strikemaster synthetic 4 1/2” auger. Great for panfish and cuts like butter. My teenage son now likes to drill holes.
That's what I have for my smallest drill option. You can even run it in high gear on the Milwaukee Fuel and throw some serious chips. As a bonus, the fleet farm near me had the blades on closeout this season, $5 a set. Couldn't pass that up.
