Ice auger sharpening

Awhile back there was a post asking how to sharpen an auger blade.   I needed to sharpen my blade after i drilled through the ice into the bottom. I have found a great tool for the job.  The tool is called "Speedy Sharp".  I was able to resharpen the blade to or better then the factory.   It works on any blade. Go real slow and keep the blade contour.  Three-10 swips and the blade should be sharp.  Do both sides of the blade.  Do not change the angle.

i have a gary roach  sharpener I taped it right to the handle , works  very well...then again I never drilled  into the dirt. can I ask what were you doing  to drill that shallow?

I was in new water.   I was 40 yards from the shore line and I was checking ice depth and found it was shallow.    I did not know there was a large sand bar.  Upside is I found fish.   I call that the rookie water mistake.

that really stinks .... I carry my sharpener with me tapes to the auger handle....  the  power auger has seragated blades but it rips  threw

I wouldn't touch the nils... id send it to Frank Deluca (SharpNils) the Mora can be sent to fish 307 and sharpened.
