Haven't herd much about these on here what's ur views? I don't have either but the jawjacker looks better built and a better trigger system. What's the good word. Tight lines everyone

my opinion is in ny it is a waste of time to use them.... 5 tipups work perfectly fine and nothing like jigging with 3 hand lines to spend the time... I don't miss many fish and I've never touched them. In my opinion they are just like any other mechanical device they will break and it'll happen at the most inopportune time

I've got a few JawJackers and for the dozen times using them, they work great every time, quality product IMO.   I use them on the warmer days because we all know how reels on rods freeze up fast on those real cold days.

They work great and are real nice to reel in a fish instead of pulling fish in by hand. The trigger is adjustable for small or big bait. And I would set them up close to me so that I can get to them fast. I put the remainder of my allotted 5 tipups farther away.

Reminder: In NY, JawJackers are classified as tipups.

I have never used either, but could see how they would be useful for chasing trout and LL's.

I use the Automatic Fisherman - they come with a strip of red duck tape. You will need something like this on your rod tip for either of them. This is considered the "signal" devise which classifies them as a tip-up.

Notice the tip of her rod ...

We use the Automatic Fishermen and have found they will outfish a tip-Up 10-1 in certain conditions. Haven't tried or seen the Jaw Jackers in person so can't say on their durability, but the Auto's are very heavy duty and have performed in the harshest of conditions. Both work on the same principle...

Loudmouth879.......it's 2 hand lines for ice fishing.  Better not use 3 or the ECO's will get ya.

Not as of this year man.  ;D
The angle of the dangle is directly proportionate to the heat of the beat.

Please note: the definition of angling changed on August 17, 2011, to allow an angler to operate up to three lines in freshwater. Where ice fishing is permitted, 3 hand lines plus 5 tip-ups may be used.

Yup, my bad......you're absolutely right.

Depends on which ECO you ask, I've been directly informed otherwise.
Anyhow, I have both and both work great and are fun and easy to use.
A plus on the jawjacker is that it folds flat where the A. Fisherman is molded plastic that cannot be unassembled.
Not that either take up much space, but if space is an issue go with the Jaw Jacker, retails about $40 for both base units...

Well bought 4 Jaw Jackers a few weeks back and got the chance to use them this weekend in Guffin Bay.  I have to say they worked great I had to mess with the tension a little but was pleasantly surprised with how well they worked.  Not often you buys things like this end up being totally pleased, but I am.

Great product  ;D ;D ;D
