I am seeing a winter storm warning for NH for Friday night through Saturday night with 8-12" projected and gusts to 35. Well it sure as hell is not stopping me from fishing the big lake this weekend. The annual journey starts now. Plus, the last time I fished in March, I was planking and that seems to not be the case this time around. You are unpredictable mother nature, but I plan to make it rain white perch. Bring it, woman!

I've never actually fished during a big storm like what they're calling for. Sure I've been out when it's been snowing and picked up a few inches during the day. People always like to talk about air pressure affecting the fishing. Makes me wonder what a good winter storm would do.

I'm taking off early today + fishing this afternoon, skipping Saturday + fishing Sunday after digging out.

14" is what i am hearing ill be out there 5am-6pm. Storms fish great most of the time. Good thing, the boy got his first laker ever and it was on a jig rod. Love it!!!

Nice work! I was worried about all this snow and creating slush. Hopefully the old sled can handle it. Plan on venturing out tomorrow

Nice job! I kept off the ice today, thinking it would be rough to advance on foot. Now I'm thinking I probably should have braved the storm. Fishing was slow for me yesterday on Winni: One laker, a couple of whites and some 20 small yellows. I was after whites and probably drilled 70-90 holes only to catch two. Just one of those days.

Thanks everyone! Decided not to lay the hammer down on cusk this year and focus on the kiddos more. Had a great time and I keep trying to convince my wife to move up there.

We moved to NH from R.I. in 1999.
Greatest decision we ever made. Both kids did very well in school - on their own now.
I retired in 2021 and wife retiring next month. Next year ice fishing and snowmobiling all the time.
