Went up to towhee today to throw some shiners. To my surprise there was a thin coating of ice on the lake. Won't be long now.

You'll be lucky to be on that lake before Christmas. Warm temps plus rain does not bode well for anyone in PA, but here in the Southeast it kills. Trying to be a realist, not a pessimist. I'd be happy if everything in sight froze over in the next couple of weeks; but it hasn't been that cold in the Southeast in over twenty years. Here hoping for the cold against all odds!

God I wish Towhee would freeze over... it's only 20+ minutes from home. But I agree, the forescast looks pretty bad (if you're and ice fisherman). :-\
