Yes we thought about that.  In career mode if you go out to early when ice is to thin or drive on it when it is to thin you go in.

iceman670,
That would be great. Add a little risk. Need to remember to check the ice thickness when walking out. You could have the time of year added in. Early and late ice. Better fishing but more risk of getting your feet wet.

Yeah, this could be a great idea. Could make you guys some cash. I think it would be fun to tip-up fish and have to run for them. just my .02 .  Good luck if you try this!   :'( :'(

With all of these good suggestions, I'll throw in some others.  Make it so you have to remember to sharpen your blades, or you can't cut a hole.  Be able to use snowmobiles and quads, but also fall through if the ice is too thin.  Be able to get a graph or vexilar.  A spearing option would also be very cool.  Just random thoughts, but would be very fun and I definitely would buy one.

Yes... I dont even care about the money I just want a game to be made.  I was thinkin that if you are healthier you can run to them faster and catch more fish.

To go along with docbas idea you could have a darkhouse spearing bonus level or something.... also if and when you wneture out onto first ice you usually catch your biggest fish then but its tricky because the ice is so thin, but the earlier you gret out the biggert eh fish.. .just another option...

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an  well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, A fishing pole in one hand, beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming \"WOO HOO, what a ride!

I'd buy one. But its like all of your fishing shows on tv, they never have icefishing on. So with that said, i don't think it would fly. But if by luck it did. i'd buy a copy.

I'd definitely buy one for my PC; I'd also buy one for my grandson for his Play Station 2.  It should be a big seller and the marketing potential is there.  Besides the usual electronics and video outlets, I would think Cabela's, Bass Pro, Gander mountain, etc. could sell a bunch in their catalog and northern stores.

I'd be all over a game like this.
How about if you play too long, your wife calls your cell phone and gives you "the what for" and tells you to get your rear home?
Maybe you could accumulate sick days to use, so when the boss comes looking for you, you can use a sick day to "get off the hook".

Count me in for one for my PC. I have ZERO games, nor a game box of any kind, but I'd buy into this one just cause I like to ice fish, and there is nothing else like it out there.
