anyone use bloodworms

Dig bloodworms and curious what people are paying for them and what size they are. How about availability just trying to get the guff from the guys that use them.

All the time with a tube rig trolling the harbor/beaches of Wells ME. Not sure about MA. I guess you'd need to be on the shore to by them though...

4-5 bucks a dozen.... Like Shiners!  Problem is, they are tough to keep for any extended period of time..

You can put them in a shallow tray with just a little bit of salt water to keep from drying out. keep top open a little so they don't smuther. keep in frig they will keep a long time that way. check them and take out dead or cut ones give them a wash in pure salt water to get rid of slime. I've been able to keep them for weeks a aeriator and water keeps them good to just have to change water a lot.

I think if you notify the bait dealers in the Greenfield ,Exeter ,New Market NH area, they would probably be happy to buy them in the winter for smelt fishing.

The worms I dug yesterday went to France. My buyer ships all over the world todays are going to california. Fish bites and greed is hurting the market. they finally got the diggers thinned out and shipping better product witch I hope will help
