END THE SEASON WITH A BANG !

Started out this morning with my typical 6:30 am trek to the pond. In more ways than one it started out with signs telling me today was not going to be a good day



Pretended like I didn't see that  ;D

On the pond, pulling the gear off the sled, auger in hand, 1  pull, 2 pull, and F#@^



Yup the rope right out and the manual auger is all the way back in the car. This was the sign that just about did it for me, but I remembered I was given a lucky necklace, believe it or not, the night before by my 6 yr. old daughter to bring me luck fishing today. So off I went all the way back to the car, got the manual auger and busted my a$$ through 10 to 12 inches of ice. Finally got all set up and it didn't take long until all hell broke loose from 9:30am till 11am. I had triple flags, double flags, didn't have coffee until 11:30. It started to feel like work with all the running around I was doing, but a hell of alot of fun I tell ya.









Notice the necklace, it's about to really start working !



Bam PB Pickeral just under 3lb



Yup another just a little smaller  ;D



Bam PB Bass 5.1lb  ;D



Must have caught over 15 Bass, 6 Pickeral and came close to going home early on. Glad I didn't, great way to end my season, time to dust the boat off and get ready for open water "Good Times" peace out  :tipup:

Good job buddy...thank your daughter tonite!!!...

Im off the ice...hit the salt today with flaggs and roncarr for some cod...did pretty good and it was beautiful....no ice... ;)

Jeff, awesome way to end the season.  Nice bass.  I so wanted to be out there with ya today.  If I didn't have that commitment for Mass Wildlife I would have been out there with ya.  You had way more fun today than I did, believe me.  Great necklace, can your daughter make one for all of us coconuts next year?  Now I know spring is right around the corner, you had your Corona shirt on.  Let's keep in touch.

Crazy!  Your just Crazy!!!!   ;D  Such a great day, such a great guy, such a great fish, I just wish we had a chance to fish this year!  So many guys I have met up here, I would have to fish every day for the whole year to enjoy fishing with everyone!
