Title: Whiteswan And pinkney
Post by: EVAN NIM on Jan 09, 2020, 10:00 AM
Has anyone been fishing whiteswan or pinkney?

Ive never fished either lake and would like to try to get on some lake trout

If youve been There
Can i access whiteswan with a quad is skidoo the only way?

Are there trout in pinkney or just walleye pike?

Any areas to avoid on these lakes?

I’m heading out that way shortly...can’t wait!
Whiteswan can be accessed off the boat launch or through the campground   It all depends how much snow is on the ice I hear there’s trucks out now so must not be too bad. The ice is fairly consistent on Whiteswan but the back bays can be soft.

Just pike and walleye in Pinkney. Watch the back bay and the West shore...I almost went for a swim there a few years back.

whiteswan can be tough.  lots of trout in there though

Ive never caught a walleye in Pinkney, haven't fished it for a few years now, the water is super high I think but when we did walked out and to the right a bit caught 2 eater pike in an hour   good luck

Whiteswan was easily drive on last week but they got another 7 inches of snow during that wednesday storm. It was pretty windy and I would be surprised if you can still drive on, that lake drifts up pretty good.

Saw plenty of snowmobiles on Whelan this past weekend, no trucks. I think taking a truck on now would mean shoveling. It's not bottomless but you could be asking for trouble.
