Getting a new battery for my LX7 and wondered what you all think is the best as far as amp hours go.  7? 8? 9?
That's some tasty iced tea.

comes with a 9ah and gets about 12 hours on it.
i am trying the 7ah because of the 2# less, but have 3 batteries to use. a 7, 8 and 9.
if you like how it was, then get the 9ah

I purchased a Bioenno power 9 AH battery, it is a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery. This battery only weighs 2.65 lbs.
They are a little pricey but you won't need to ever buy another battery. And they have a very quick charge rate to them.
Also you do not need to maintain them in the summer.

i have read 40% numerus times from manufactures statements. this thread below says 50%, but you get the idea

Storage - no need to store fully charged. In fact, it is not good to do so. Long term storage is ideal at around 50% SOC, plus or minus. Even here, you don't have to go nuts with exacting percentages like the RC modelers do. Just bringing the SOC down a bit from the top will take you a long way. From a practical standpoint, if you have a solar powered cabin that you visit on the weekends, and at the end of the day before you leave you find that you are not fully charged - even better! Just leave. (Provided of course that you don't have parasitic loads going on, or perhaps a low quality bms or shunting bridge that goes haywire while you are gone -- I've covered my position on that before...)

2.65lb wow, it $111.99 USD with charger or $99 without. Not too bad considering the actual marcum battery is $29.99.
