Hi folks,
I am new to the site and wanted to say hello.I am also thinking of purchasing an eskimo 949 but there is no local store that carries them.I see them on Reeds for 209.00 and free shipping.This is a good deal but should I contact them first and find out if they have the power hubs because I read the old style was pretty bad?Thanks

Welcome aboard Striperman, I don't believe you will find any of the old 949's that don't have the new power hubs left in any new inventory. I think 2012 was the end of the old pin style hubs and every year Eskimo seems to sell out of inventory on their shantys.
