I drove up to the boat launch Saturday afternoon, that area was locked up but not sure how much ice. It did not look like anyone had been out on it yet. Same for annabessecook.

The Litchfield end off peace pipe should be ok
Fishing is easy. Catching is the hard part.

Monmouth boat launch and dismal swamp end had 4-5” last week before Saturday’s rain.

How about Sabattus?  I'd like to visit both lakes this weekend.  Also visiting Jacks.
Thanks for posting, save me a post ... I was going to ask.

The ice always sets first down that way. Very shallow.

I would imagine most of the lakes in that area will be fishable by this weekend.

Thanks for the info fellas. Went out yesterday from monmouth. 6-7" at the access, walked to maple island had. 4-7" the whole way. Thinnest was getting into the bay on the west side of maple island. Took a drive around the lake in the morning everything looks mostly locked up but be careful it's thin ice, might be ok in February. Glare ice, bring your skates.

Another area lake, Maranacook north end had an ample 6" of ice over deep water yesterday.
