Safe ice there yet?  I know it's a late freezer due to the currents.

The south end freezes early and is the last place around with safe ice in the spring. The rest of the lake is most likely safe at this point. I always wanted to fish it late season for pike but never get around to it.

Drove by it this AM also saw some tracks but no one fishing…lake spooks me a bit to be honest.  Seen it a few times where you'll be in 6+ solid, take 20 steps and it's like 2".

I grew up maybe a mile from it and its a strange body of water. Never seen a pond with such variance in ice thickness. Be careful

Ice should be good now but not too sure how good the pike fishing is there.

Im willing to bet there are still pike in there but I feel not enough people try for them,  kind of like Webster lake I know for a fact pike still swim those waters. Both places have a lot of nice weed beds so finding the pike is like finding a needle in a haystack.
