singing cedars

pike all day. between 4 of us we caught probably 30 pike. i got 2 10lbrs an 8lbr and a bunch between 4 and 6lbs. buddies got 2 around 12lbs and lost one at the hole that was probably 14 or 15. a few dink perch, maybe 15. damn nice weather and good fishing!

just curious how deep the pike are coming or how far out they are. i have only getting pike this yr in deeper water it seems.  i was going to go there today but wasn't sure on water clarity. is it clear?

We've got 13 fisherman from Ma. coming up for the Great Bensom Derby. Can't wait. I fish singing cedars all summer and have good luck. Probably fishing closer to Chipmans point for the derby. Hope to see ya there.

there was 4 of us. i had 30 jacks for me and a friend from 6' of water out to about 12' of water and only got a couple in shallow, most were 8-10 feet of water. the 2 other guys had a similar set-up and got all of them in about 6' of water, right next to my shallow jacks. when i cleaned them i found bass 8-10'' bass in 3 of there stomachs. i've never found a bass in one before

 Wow thats odd. I have a boat at plunder bay marina and fish this area often. Caan't wait to ice fish it again this year.

Hmmm, We never seem to fish southern Champlain, Might be worth the drive just to Try for once, Any good bait shops around their? or any tips for where to fish these monster pike you speak of  ;D

Tom's bait at castletons corner is a great place to buy bait if your fishing south champlain.

theres also a bait shop on 22a just south of Benson 4 corners .Ed's bait and Tackle.Great Guy.It will save you 10 miles.

I have been getting my Bait at Whipple hollow bait! Brian has some real good bait there haven't had one minnow die yet! He has some Huge shiners!!! If you stop in say hi to Sammy the Duck dog while your there!

12 to 15 inches of snow.there is a road plowed from Benson landing up to singin cedars.I've seen allot worse.4 flags in 5 hrs today no fish.i myself didn't go but my good buddy was up there.they used big bait too.large and extra large shiners

We fished there last weekend only caught 5 little pike not many tipups alot of fisherman, didn't look like they were doing any better than us. Last year couldn't keep them off. :tipup:
