Does anyone have experience with this device? It looks like you just buy the gearbox and attach it to the bottom 1/2 of a hand auger then run it with a cordless drill.. The question I have is how powerful does the drill need to be and will it attach to my threaded Mora auger?

I have no personal experience with these devices but I have read about them.
From what I've read it seems like it would be OK for a limited amount of holes. I believe one write up said 12 holes and his fully charged DeWalt Lithium 18 v battery was dead. The unit was slowing down considerably around the 8-9th hole. If I recall correctly he was drilling 16" of ice. Hope this helps.
