Hows the ice thickness at gull?  Also - is there a place where a person can walk on and get to a decent fishing spot?

Went to Lessar Slave and the ice is perfect you need an extension on your auger. Fishing was great too!
Hell, if I'd jumped on all the dames I'm supposed to have jumped on, I'd have had no time to go fishing.

Wabamun has 6 solid inches and 6 inches honeycomb all over the lake.  For those of you that were driving your 3/4 ton trucks on the lake today right past where my buddies and myself were fishing... you are destined for the Darwin Awards.  Not to mention scaring the crap out of us.  The ice was shifting a solid two inches beneath us and bouncing our gear all over the ice. :%$#!:

Carolside - 16-18" total with 2" of rotten ice on top - no thin ice @ edge (yet)

Lots of ice at Joussard Sunday the 28th. But when we left the lake there is a huge amount of floodwater especially close to shore. Walleye fishing was good and even caught white fish. Saw zero perch and of course caught a couple of jacks

Hey all.   Good Day!

Any reports on the Ice thickness in the Calgary area??

Was hoping to get out next weekend, maybe Pine coulee , not sure if anything else would be thick enough.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

Buffalo Lake had 10-11" of solid black ice where I checked at Scenic Sands.
A bad day of fishing beats anything else I'd be doing today.....

.............
Ya OldTrout
I think you right.

Keep it close for now... and also as i may have to call for a tow truck to winch the sled up the hill at Pine coulee... LOL ...

I was told there was a Boat ramp there. So i 'll be hitting that if I can make it out there.
Two years ago myself and a Friend hauled the sled ( with no rack_) up and down that path by the bridge.. Thought I was going to die... LOL...LOL

Will or would have to think I take out everything on the first outing though.
