I want to use a haili jig for some trout but i dont know how well that wire hook will hold up.

I've caught several large bass while using a Hali. The hook should be fine, especially if you are fishing for moderate sized browns and rainbows. I use only 4 lb mono when jigging for trout and set the drag fairly light on the reel.
