What depths to fish them @? ive heard 3-5ft and 20-30 ft which one? and one more thing how do emerald shiners work for splake? :tipup:

1-10 feet below the ice with tip-ups. I also have caught them jigging on the bottom in 60 fow.

As with with any trout it really depends on what they are eating and what the lake has to offer. Shiners perch, smelt ect... Find the main forage base and they are sure to be there.

we caught most of ours  last week in 2-3 fow. they really were hot for night crawkers and waxies. good luck
