pike eggs for trout?

so, I dont have any trout or salmon eggs at home, was thinking maybe I could take some pike skein and cure it and cut pieces off for trout bait? what do you guys think? anyone try this? should I cure it then pack in fish oil?

Have never tried it, but lakers will eat anything! Be worth a try.
