My first chain pickerel
« on: Mar 11, 2020, 07:49 PM »
Chain pickerel are quite rare up here, I very rarely fish waters that have them. Caught my first one ever while jigging for perch this afternoon, not often that I get a news species in Quebec :)

always is cool to catch a new species but you should be happy you dont have a lot of slime darts around. They get boring and annoying to catch pretty quickly..... however they make excellent fertilizer :roflmao:

A pickerel 24” or over is a monster lol, kinda rare in most places.

It came from one of the few lakes in the province known to have them. I only started fishing it this season, it was my 3rd time there.
