Title: LOST: Red battery pack at the COWBANKS
Post by: Troutlife on Jan 29, 2015, 06:39 PM
I was fishing today at the cowbanks (north of sandbar causeway) and my battery pack must have fallen off my sled. It is in a red lunch box with a black sling and houses two SLA batteries. I was fishing straight out from the access maybe 1000 yards. I came back to where fished 2 hours afterwards and it was gone. If you picked it up, please PM me or reply. Thanks

Funny how some people think because something is left behind or for me falls out my boat on the highway becomes free fairgame and not stealing. I lost my GFs tackle out the back of the boat on I91 gone in less than 5min.!
I hope you get your stuff back

Troutlife, I hope you get it back. Try posting a sign where people walk on. If your name/phone number wasn't on it; perhaps it will help non Shanty members find its rightful owner. Good Luck

Kyle Smith found it and brought it to dockside outdoors and left it there in hope that the owner would stop in. Dustin Bushway

You shouldn't jump to assume someones intentions are negative!

Glad you got your stuff back.  Despite what we see on the 6'o clock news there are still plenty of good, honest people out there.

I was at Campbell's a week from this past Friday in a howling south wind and my friend's rod case blew off his Atv unnoticed. A car drove by everyone of us in our group to see if who owned it. That was a very nice gesture, considering there were about $200.00 worth of rods in it.

On the other hand, last year my bucket seat and some sunfish fell off my atv after hitting a snow drift. I didn't notice it for a couple hundred yards. I looked back and saw a guy in a Subaru pick up my fish and bucket seat and take off. I did catch up to him and asked for my seat back.

Just goes to show there are good and not so good guys out there. We need more like example one!
