Title: I want to try smelting again, where should I go?
Post by: jimbubba3 on Jan 21, 2009, 08:28 AM
I haven't been smelting for about 15 years. I use to got to James Eddy with my Grandfather. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on where I should go.

Anywhere is good...you just have to be there at the right time....just like any fishing.....Worthings, Bakers, Lieghtons, any of those are good.....

If you want to catch smelts its Riverbend. If you want to just say you went smelting try someplace else.

I definitely want to catch some smelts, I hear they are delicious. When I went about 15 years ago I think 2 of us only caught a dozen or so during the time we were there. Not very fun, not to mention I was too young to drink ;D
