were they close in or over the deeper water?

i heard guys were one hundred yards out from the beach on a very slim amoount of ice. BE CAREFUL
I'm not saying they're biting on Brant.  But they probably are

If the forecast holds for early next week we should be making some good ice. Now if we can only dodge the snow bullet.

Considered starting a new thread and will do so if "encouraged" to.  Anyway, i have been fishing near the Village a lot the last few years and seem to always be 20 feet away from the guy that lands the big salmon.  Anyway, my uncle owns a house on the Lake, near Elizabeth Island - between Long Island and Dome Island on the East Shore.  I have fished near there with no success.  Can anyone give me some idea of where near there i may do better?  Lakers/salmon would be great, but i will also pursue anything else that swims!  I have two snowmobiles and a trailer up there, so i don't mind travelling a bit on the ice.

Should i head toward Dome Island, Long Island?  Help a bro out!

Thanks all.

Rob

vets park is about 11 miles from the Village, just on the north end of Bolton.  FYI, the southern basin has skimmed over and hopefully will begin to make some ice.  It's not safe now so don't even think about going out on it but it's skimmed so it's a start.
