Fish cams- home made
« on: Dec 07, 2002, 04:01 AM »
I've heard of people making their own fish cams.  Has anyone here done it with any success. I would like info about how to do it and how much I can expect to pay for parts.

:) Thats a great question i've been wondering if you could buy one of those Aqu Vu cameras and hook it up to a regular TV.

hey mike my boys and i bought a homemade kit @ http://www.mninter.net/~boardman/
we have had lots of fun with it from building it, to using it. My boys just love to see the fish on the screen and get all excited. Its not had to make and it is well worth the money to us. we even set it up this summer to try and catch a theif at night. we hooked up a vcr to it and let it tape for about 6 weeks straight.(changing tapes of course) and it still works after two years. if you get one, email me @ [email protected] and i wil give you some of the tips we did to our camera kit.

I would say try luncker cam's site Ilike this one.  You are prob cheep like me and would rather make one and save the money for something else.  I thought about buying the aqua-vu can from cabellas and than buying my own tv to run it.
