I wish this weather would make up its mind.  More hot flashes than a menopausal woman.  Either freeze or melt.  I hate the iffy periods when the ice is not safe and you can't get a boat in.

Put them in a crock pot, shred them and add BBQ sauce.  Use sesame seed buns, butter them with garlic butter and toast on a skillet. Serve hot to your mother in law.....

I dunno, ate beaver (the rodent variety) a few times. Pleasant surprise. Can woody be very different? Slow roast the hindquarters in an oven bag with a packet of onion soup mix. Standard EZPZ.
To fish or not to fish? That's a stupid question!

Beaver is pretty damn good once you get past the thought of what it is... woodchucks aren't bad, have had them ground burger and pulled pork style.

Could be time to look for sheds if your favorite lake gets damaged by the Tuesday Wednesday weather.  I think my lake will survive, I may need a plank to get on.

Hey, that's almost the same recipe I use for geese (aka "flying woodchucks" since they are just as destructive and worthless)!!   ;D

I throw a couple breasts in a crockpot and dump in Coca-Cola until they have about an inch covering them. Cook on low all day. Drain the liquid off. Shred lime pulled pork and add Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce to taste. Cook about 5 more minutes to warm back up and eat it on your choice of rolls... only way I've found that I can eat them

trapp i have tried all of them. the porky tasted like pine or hemlock.  baked coon is really good  never tried possum, the smell of them just turned me off.  ate 100s of tree rats, the younger ones are great and tender. the older ones we made pulled pork type sandwiches with .  your pike spot has been real hot lately

Mom use to cook up the woodchucks in spaghetti sauce. But of course being Italian, we cooked every thing in spaghetti sauce lol
