Perchzilla (2.2.18)

Hit a Colorado perch spot today, and met up with TimK and his border collie.  Got into good quality fatty perch, average size was around 10" and meaty. Landed perchzilla after lunch, which measured 13.25", my PB to date.  Perch tacos for Super Bowl Sunday!  ;D

No limits were caught but we each went home with 4 perch totaling over 40" and a few 8ers... maybe another 6 or 7 throwbacks including my PB walleye (in Colo) :thumbsup:  :woot: I think the fillets off a 12 or 13" perch are equal to maybe three 8"ers?  Had to keep a couple dinks that died on the way up, tough life ;D.  The quest for anything but trout, and by that i mean perch, goes on.  Not quite a SLAYER caliber slug fest, but I aint hiking that far for a limit ;D and thanks Nate, consider your spot stolen! :icefish:

Thanks!  But the leading perch are in the 15-16" range, so this one won't quite make the cut!  ::)

Thanks!  I may submit it for the MA.  Never done it before. I was thinking about submitting my bass from a few weeks ago, too.  Ha!  Chatty ponds... ;D

Thanks! 10-12" of ice.  Edges were soft, used a plank.  Drilled probably 30 holes with my M18/clam/Mora-8, and used half my 5ah batt.
