Vex Battery Compartment?
« on: Jan 28, 2018, 03:45 PM »
I have a Vex FL-20 Ulta Pack. Bought it in 08 and don't think I've used it more than four times. Since the battery is ten years old I figured I'd swamp it out with a new one. Looked at the owner's manual but nothing about accessing the battery in the compartment. Do you have to remove the bottom screws underneath on the base to get the old battery out?

What kind of battery life (years) do you gentleman get out of your batteries. My FL20 has only been used a handful of times in ten years.

if you got 10 years on that battery you got lucky. the average life I would say is 3 to 5 years depending on how heavy of use they get. I like to replace mine every 3 to 4 years or sooner if needed.
