« on: Jan 21, 2018, 12:57 PM »
Why does it turn off after 10 min   then when I turn it back on  it shuts off after about 2 min. I charged the battery last weekend when I put it away could this be the problem I should have charged it again last night

Would you have a multimeter to test your battery voltage before and after charging it? Maybe battery is bad, charger bad or possibly a loose connection somewhere?

Voltage on battery b4 charging was 11.47.  that should be enough to run it ?????

Battery could lose charge over a week if there is a bad cell in it or possibly some kind short in the system or a errant power draw.  11.47 volts is pretty low, should be closer to 12.8 with a fully charged good battery.

Just guessing the 13.87 reading was right after you removed your charger? Let the battery rest for at least 12 hours and check the voltage. At least it's a good sign your battery was showing the high reading after charging and not dropping the volts reading immediately after removing it from the charger.    I would think you could try hooking up your camera now and see what happens.  Do another volt  reading right before you turn on your camera and if you can , take readings from the battery while the camera is on.

Ok, little higher then what it should read but could be your multimeter is off too. So now hook up your camera and see what happens. Again if you can monitor your battery's  voltage while your camera is on, that would be helpful.
