Can Anyone Identify this Jig?
« on: Mar 07, 2006, 09:38 PM »
In the bluegill section, there is a thread asking what is your favorite jig or lure for gills.  For the past few years, I have had a favorite jig that works well.  However, I don't remember who makes it or what it is called, and I only have two.  One I have been using plus a "spare".  I would like to get more, and I believe I got these two at Cabela's in Hamburg, PA, but I'm not sure.  In any case, they didn't have any when I checked this year.

Here is a pic (the one on the bottom).  I added two sizes of Genz Worms in the pic just to provide some sort of reference to show the size of the jig.  It has a curved scud-like red hook and a segmented metal (I guess lead) body.  The top is reddish/pink, and the belly is glow colored.

Any ideas?  If so, where can I get more?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

the top two are genz worms

I think he was asking about the bottom one.
Rich is correct, it's a lunar grub.

That's it!  You win the prize, which is my sincere thanks.

This site is great, isn't it?  Now I need to track them down and buy a lifetime supply before they're gone.

If you want just Lunar Grubs (not the variety pack), PM me and I'll start watching for ya.
A lot of places here around St Paul carry them.
If I find some I'd pick 'em up and send 'em if ya want to pay shipping.
It may take 9 months because most ice jigs are pretty picked over right now.

For sure I could get all you want the first weekend of December at the St Paul ice fishing show.
