Made it out to the lake today...left at 11 but didn't get on the lake till around 1pm since my mom had a list of things she needed down around her house. The walk out in the snow really wasn't that much fun. Drilled 3 holes...nothing on the vex...fished for half hour nothing...drilled 3 more holes...nothing on the vex...fished for another half hour nothing...said heck with it drilled 4 more holes and the third one I checked marked one fish...went and got my bucket and pole came back and the entire bottom 5 feet was loaded with fish. sat in that hole and caught 20 fish in about 45 minutes. Literally would drop the jig down the hole until it settled on a big red mark on the vexilar and waited for the bite...it was literally "catchin fish" after I spent an hour looking for them. Good thing too I was about to head in and I normally don't quit that easy but poor fishing and the deep snow was wearing me out!!!
Ended up with about 25 and most of them were 8" or bigger...couple 9's too...it's fun when you set the hook and you feel a "thud" on the line and know it is a good one coming up!! Enjoy!!
