How often do you get out?

How often do you guys actually get out to fish? If you had nothing holding you back, how often would you ideally fish?

I am able to get out a handful of times a month due to family and work but would fish at least 4-5 days a week if I was able.

Before a wife and child I had years when I was ice fishing everyday from around December 20th through early March.

I had a year when I muskie fished for 45 straight days, then had to take a day off because of some wicked thunder storms and tornadoes. Then another 45 or so straight days.  There were also years in the early 2000's when I'd be on a trout stream every day for two or three months straight without missing a day. 

I was working full time through all of that so those weren't "full" days but I was out for at least 3-4 hours every day and on days off I was putting in 12-16 hour shifts with a few 24 hour marathons thrown in for good measure.

I am at that point in my life when I can get out as much or as little as I care to.  Some weeks that is every day that week. Some weeks that is only once that week.  I certainly enjoy fishing, but having the option to get out at any possible time, means I can pick and choose.  If I don't feel like fishing that day or at that particular moment in the day, I don't.  Who knows, two hours later I may grab a pole and head to the river.  ;D ;D   I also have other hobbies to keep me occupied.

i fish over 100 days a year. main reason i live where i do is the proximity to world class fishing.

If I wanted to...just about everyday.  ;D

But my body ain't that tough and I do need to rest up more and more.  Once or twice a month is good enough for me now.

1-3 times a week. If scheduling wasnt an issue I'd probably do 3 times a week and be fine.

Try to get out once for the whole day at least once a week but I like sledding as well, so when we have snow I take the sled out and (coyote hunting) so will do a bit of both each week. I have a flip over tent don't go out if its colder -20 got a knee that doesn't handle the cold to well anymore. I live in a small rural town so fishing and hunting are only ten minutes away which  make some short quick trips and rides easy.

 not as much as id like but in order to pay for all the fishing/hunting gear work is a must.

I try to get out 3 times a week at least. With 1 of the trips to a lake I have never fished, or haven't fished in 10 years.

Ice fishing about 4-5 times per week Summer 5 times a week with 2 different lakes a day on Sat and Sun. So 6-7 times per week. Yep that's all I do is fish ;D

Once per week is enough for me. I go out most Saturdays for 4-5 hours.

3 to 4 times a week and my wife wished it were more. Those that are retired understand. ;D. I have already been on 1 weekend trip and have 2 more planned in the next 3 weeks. Life has been good this season...and so has the fishing.

2-5 trips a year usually is all I get. One reason is the distances in Montana between lakes, the other was college and now work. I'm happy if I get a few trips in a year, but I've been resourceful and dont have a great amount invested in my gear either. I prioritize elk hunting over all else (which only lasts 6 months in Montana  ;) ) then fishing after that. Work on ranches in Nevada 8 or so months a year, so I do like to spend time with the wife doing other things besides ice fishing too. A spearing trip and a few trout or walleye trips a year and I'm a happy man!

Every 2 weeks if I am fortunate, with a wife and 8 month old at home.

Ideally? Every day. I'd be out every day.
