We can only use two lines...so if I need two dead sticks...one will be with a slipbobber.

i've been running two tipups sometimes, but others' i've been running a jigging rapala on a pole, and a dead minnow on the bottom on a trebel on another pole (one tipup of course)

Why not do two dead sticks and jig with the other?
Some times the action is "at your feet" and you need to catch the walleyes before they swim on their way.
There are days when I seemed to catch them only on the dead stick.

Ever tried rigging your dead stick similar to a "drop shot" rig? Instead of tying your hook tight to the line, run it on a short dropper. Actually more closely resembles a "wolf River" rig.
From the bottom up: sinker tied to 12" of leader, swivel tied to other end, (abt. 12" dropper line with swivel and hook attached at the ends) pass main line through dropper line swivel and tie on the "sinker line via the swivel.
This has been a pretty deadly set up for me. The only thing I change is maybe I put a red, or gold bead above the hook.
good luck
