slow going.   slush wasnt as bad as granby seems to be, but the further east you go it builds up.   also found patches of ice that were 2-3 inches thick under real slushy spots so be careful.      fishing was slow AF but we enticed 5 to bite our jigs in 45 feet of water.    ill probably give it till late feburary when I go back...  till then I'm gonna stay local to save money.

Nice -- that drive is murder from/to Denver with all the ski morons.  I'm hoping there's enough ice to stay local until late season, too.  We'll see how it lasts.

its why honestly instead of doing that drive, id rather get a room in kremmling or grand lake.    lately thats what ive been doing.. its rad having a partner thats down for that as well.    having 2-3 days for fishing twice a month helps make the most of a trip.

personally I prefer willys in march and april right before ice off.   the fishing can be mythical up there.

Agreed, late seasons is way better.  WF in March has been good to me.  I'll probably be out that way at least a day or two around then.
