Bayside Bait & Tackle

Sad to say Steve Martell has retired and closed Bayside.
I'm sure the Shell station will have spikes & worms, but it will be tough finding minnows/pike bait near St. Albans.
He also bought fish. His daughter has mentioned that Jamie Gratton of J&S Fisheries 1914 Dunsmore Rd will be open 1-6PM starting 12/13 to buy fish.

I hope to see Steve out on the ice and enjoying some sorely needed recreation time! He was a great bait purveyor and always had good advice for me when I was starting out with hardwater fishing.

Bummer! I heard a rumor someone was going to buy the business and keep it going, but I guess that's not the case! I also heard Dockside closed?? Can anyone confirm?

Too bad, leaves a big void in the St. Albans Bay Area . Was a great resource for bait and tackle as well as sharing of information..... a little bragging... a lot of bull ***ting ! .Convienient location.. plenty of parking to accommodate trucks with trailers. Always looked forward to going there after a day of fishing both hard and soft water.
