Bobber/Rubber band method to detect bites

Thanks for the information!  I'm going to try and practice this a little in calm open water just to get the hang of it and experiment with the bobber vs. jig weights and line scenario.  If people think I'm a little nutty for sitting at the edge of the dock with an ice rod then so be it!
