Flares

I had some handheld emergency flares on my boat that were outdated as far as the Coast Guard is concerned but are still in excellent shape and still very much usable.  Being that there are times out on the ice when the weather turns bad with poor visability or I'm fishing at night, there may come a time when one of these things may fit the need.  I took the 3 flares and put them in a Pringle potatoe chip container using a plasic baggie to cover the exposed portion of the flares and wrapped them with a rubber band to hold them inside.  I will be making a cutout in the 2" thick foam I'm adding as a floor in my flip-top to keep them from rolling around as I will be doing with the other equipment I plan on keeping in the shanty along with a tackle box and Mr. Buddy heater instead of removing everything when I'm done fishing.  By keeping everything in the shanty, I won't be looking for something like I have spent the last week searching for my tackle box. >:( ::)
