Raising Wax Worms
« on: Dec 08, 2006, 05:52 PM »
Does anyone raise their own wax worms?  A quick search on the internet will show how to do it and it does not sound very difficult or time or money consuming.  I have a colony of meal worms that I have had going for about 3 years now and I started red worms about 6 months ago. These are easy and as long as they are done right have no smell.  I use them to feed my various reptile pets and have tried using the mealworms with limited success for bait.  I was thinking about trying to raise some wax worms for a reliable and free source of bait and reptile food.  Any info would be appreciated.

here is a link that I found: http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Live%20Food,%20Wax%20Worms.htm

Thanks
