Yep all are supposed to be registered. Go to state web on rules and regs.
More than 3 cars in my driveway when I get home ? Probably an intervention! I’m outta there!

there are a few machines that do not need to be registered under a certain HP, but in general  they need to be registered, they also  need to take an ATV safety coarse.

Yeah, definitely needs to be registered... I can only imagine the number of 250 pound men riding around on the ice on 50 cc wheelers if it wasn't required lol...

We had an old Suzuki 125 QuadRunner when I was a kid, but back then that was a full size rig, and 185 was the biggest one Suzuki made at the time.  ;D Our neighbor had a Yammie 225, and that was "big" by atv standards of the time.

Our 125 would roll about 40mph with a grown adult on it.

No doubt on the wheelers in the 125 cc range, those are usually big enough to keep your knees out of the bars... I'm talking the little power wheels sized 50 cc units. My buddy got 1 for his grandson, we tried it out around the yard to make sure it was ready to go for the boy and the clutch was having none of our fat asses lol... It rips right along with a 5 year old on it though.

There was a mini/pit bike craze around here several years back with people whizzing around town on those little 49cc things, and you could hear the bikes protesting. I imagine you don't see many anymore because they all died  :roflmao:

I've seen a few of the fat tire Tractor Supply mini bikes on the ice in my neighborhood with the tires all studded up... I thought it was a good idea till I seen a guy go ass over kneecap and dump his sled all over the ice... It was hilarious from across the lake, I'm sure dude would disagree lol.
