 I’m leaning toward 67 and grew up on a farm where everything was raised or grown then spam came along , when I Was growing up they thought it was a delicacy and my mom served way to often , I’d head next door to grams farm 😜I like eggs and hash , when we do a ham I save some up for ham hash
 In the mean time I’ll just keep using spam to grease the runners of my sled and safe some for bobbers and all you can have my share😃 👍

Cheated and had a thick crust Red Baron pepperoni pizza.

Deer opener is tomorrow here, and I always like to eat something heavy/greasy the night before so I get the crappin' out of my system before I hit the deer stand in the morning.

We had venison inner tenderloins with onion and mushrooms.sweet potato fries for the side.its been great deer hanging weather here so im thinking cutting up the oladys buck on Saturday for a 4 day hang time.

I wish I had a place to hang deer. I hunt Muzzleloader season (2nd week in Sept) in Colorado. Gotta empty out my beer fridge and stack game bags, let em cool down and age for a while like that.

Oh yeah, I had left over sous vide chuck roast for dinner. Almost as good warmed up as it was when I cooked it.

Have a pig roast that's been soaking overnite in concentrated apple juice.....I'm up in the air about how to cook it. Have three ways I wanna do it, just can't decide which one...in the crackpot slathered in BBQ sauce for pulled pork on a bun, or covered in cinnamon applesauce surrounded by rosemary and parslied new taters.... or this one, in the oven.....decisions, decisions. 

In the meantime, I'll eat this leftover pizza for bfast. *YUM*   


             Reb’s Apple pork roast

One  3lb Pork Butt Roast
Two cups Fresh Apple Cider or concentrated apple juice from frozen
fresh ground Rosemary
Seasoned salt
Black pepper to taste
4 oz Cinnamon Apple Sauce (These are the “Snak Pak” size cups)
One  large Yellow Onion, sliced thin   
One apple, cut into wedges       

Marinate the roast in the cider in a Zip-Loc bag, in the fridge, for 6-8 hours, turning frequently.
Place roast in a greased baking dish, with some of the marinade. Sprinkle liberally with seasonings and lightly with the Rosemary.  Place thin layer of onions on top. Put apple wedges on next. Pour apple sauce over top. Put in a 300* oven for 45 mns to one hour, uncovered. (low and slow)  Cover and cook  for 30- 45 mns- longer or until meat thermometer registers 150*. Do not overcook. Let sit covered for 15 minutes before slicing.

So cold and windy out, decided a big pot of 'tato /chive kielbasa soop would hit the spot.....

We used to go to Kennebunkport for a weeks vacation every year when I was little and we fished for pollock from shore while we were there.  Fun fish to catch - nice looking too - very trout like I would say.  Spinners and clam necks worked great.

How about some skwirrel dried nut cookie sprinkles? When I was a pupster, read the old timers used to take out the squirrel gut pouch fulla nuts when cleaning them, and dried them in the sun, to sprinkle on top of cookies and such. Of course, I had to try it. Sprinkled 'em on some of the girl friends cookies. Only downside was when she found out what it was, I had to sleep with the skwirrels that nite....
