Broke out the ground gold (burger) for some beef stroganoff, minus the round steak that should be in it.
Adding some extra mushrooms, , noodles, sour cream, and chives. Veggie still up in the air, maybe buttered cannonballs. (Brussel sprouts) Garlic knot twists, pickled beets, and a big glass o' milk. Sure would be nice with steak strips, but just can't afford it. It'll work.

Ya, cow strokin' off.

I was thinking about a big, juicy steak today, for some reason....sucks not being able to have what you want to eat because yer not spendin' $12 a lb for one piece of meat dammit. Ah well, I once made it a week on a loaf of bread, a lb of cheap deli baloney, and some canned peas a store was getting rid of for 10 cents a can 'cuz the cans were all smashed up, and lotsa water drank fast to feel full. (Shared the peas with my dog, he had little food either) Not a cent to my name. Cupboards totally empty. Period. Heat had even been turned off. Built a fire in the barrel stove for heat and to cook over, lived in old, old farmhouse. No jobs around or gas in the mid 70's. Been laid off at Christmas. Shot some rabbit and squirrel to get by. Cupboards totally bare. I know what it's like to be really, really, hungry and nowhere to go for help. Too damned proud for food stamps. So when people say they've got it tough, I just look at 'em and think "really?". No idea why I just brought that up. Only a couple know that.

Used to love Little Caesar’s pizza when I was a kid. Back when you used to get 2 for 1 and they came on a big cardboard sheet in a paper bag. Personally feel like the quality has dropped way off…but it’s still cheap and convenient…
We had pork chops, apple sauce, roasted cauliflower and rice.

thats what I remember about little caesars too as a kid.2 for 1 in the big sheet and bag.i also remember the pita pocket Italian sandwiches they had for 1$.they were great!

I've never actually had a pizza from there....I was always a Pizza Hut guy. Now it's Godfathers or Papa Murphy's for me.

That is exactly how I ate them in Iowa. I think the only difference was they used pork tenderloin, but same difference!!

Had 2 really bad smoked apple sausages on a bun. I don't waste food, but I had to throw one away. Couldn't eat it. It was terrible. Tater salad to end that small meal. Dang. I'm still hungry. $:-\$
