They make a pill for that.  My dad died from esophageal cancer from acid reflux.

No pics but I got hungry for tater tot casserole. So that's what's for dinner. Important changes from usual: golden mushroom soup vs creamy, "southwest" shredded cheese 1/2 and 1/2 with mozzarella, a Tbsp of Worcestershire sauce and Italian flat green beans vs French cut beans.

Not contrived, it's just what was hanging around the pantry. Still hungry for an old standby...

Last night was taco salad and tomorrow homemade chili. Stand by!

Acid reflux? Most of the time I eat too many hot chilies for the acid to stand a chance. However, my nightly tonic is a 1/4 tsp of baking soda in a glass of seltzer water. I am rarely troubled...
To fish or not to fish? That's a stupid question!

Me too. About every other night. Gotta be careful with it and not use too much. Doc told me not to take antacids with it either.

You'd probably feel a lot better if ya set those green beans out the back door for the dog.  ;D No, wait a minute, that would be really cruel.  :roflmao: Everything else sounds great!

Those little green chopped garden hoses have never been my favorites...

Just take a cubed steak and bread it, I like 3/4 cup of flour and 1 1/2 cups of Italian bread crumbs mixed then just fry it in butter, grease, deep fryer for a couple minutes per side, can add country gravy to top it off, but we ate late so no gravy tonight. Not sure what fries she used, we just deep fry them and season with Johnny's season salt.

I think growing up my Mom used to do that, remember her pounding pork ( I know you can use pork ) and called them pork cutlets.....(not to be confused with the real pork cutlets baked in mushroom soup) and she made gravy to put on top of 'em. They were OK...far better than the hot canned salmon casserole with canned peas and breadcrumb topping.

Merry Christmas one and all. Wild bird fresh from the smoker. Appetizer at the in laws along with venison summer sausage. Then prime rib for main meal.
Dog going nuts in the kitchen.
Enjoy your time with family.

My neighbor, who is the most superb baker /confectionist I have ever met, brought me a goodie bag last nite full of snackie things, her spicy chex mix, fudge, cream cheese cranberry scones, ( wonder where she got the creamcheese? ) and these totally unreal sugar cookies. Thick, soft, fantastic. Her decorating blows me away...it's perfect, look at the perfectly smooth glazed frosting, and the tiny perfect detail.....I don't wanna eat 'em ! They're a work of art !
