You're going to lo e the Strikemaster.  Had mine 2 years, and usually end up drilling holes for buddies after I'm set up because they've still got a couple left.  Warning....when the ice gets "older" and they're are different levels, brace the handle against your thigh.  Lot of torque if/when it binds.  No question. I'll be fishing Northern Maine for New Year's,  cold weather forecast

I have always done better with a single Aberdeen gold hook and drail than sabiki rigs, but I use long smelt rods without reels

I took Franks advice and my Strikemaster should be arriving at my work today.  Finally got tired of mixing gas and the weight of my jiffy.  The pull cord breaking derby weekend last year was the final straw.

I went electric cpl years back and it was definitely worth it, only I went with the trophy strike. I like it but if I could choose again I’d get the ion g2 or the 10 inch strike master
